Ghar ki only Betiyaan

Well, I could not think of any better title for this serial which is so called as "Ghar ki Lakshmi Betiyaan".

There are many things in this serial which are not at all realistic or even close to reality.

Well to start of, here are a few things that I hate about this serial.

1. There are no males in the home. Well, there are two in-laws (Ghar Jamai)though. And mind you, Yuvraj is not their own son. Every male in the house in an outsider. Don't go after the new born of Yuvraj. He is Yuvraj's son and cannot be included in the family. The only male in this house was Survyakant Garodiya who is no longer there in this serial.

2. The in-law males or the Ghar Jamais have lost all their masculanity. Well, see for the fact. Be it the match of cricket or the latest incident of misbehavior with Gauri, the males have never shown masculanity just because "Ghar ki only betiyaan". In a normal family, if someone in your house is been insulted, it is the males whose testemorone levels shoot and they become aggressive. While in Ghar ki only betiyaan, it is the betiyaan who see a rise in testemorone levels and get angry.

3. No girl in the house goes to her Sasuraal or her in-laws place. The people they marry become Ghar Jamais. Or even if they don't, Lakshmi and Durga seem to just dislike their in-laws place. Durga liked it for some time. Only when she had to bring Lakshmi to her place to get her married. Read the next point for more on this.

4. No girl in the house seems to get married naturally. Each of them are married unnaturally. First one Saraswati was married once and then, she was married again cause she did not first a Ghar Jamai in the first instance. Durga is married but prefers to stay at her maternal home instead of living with her in laws. Maybe, she has not found a Ghar Jamai. Lakshmi found one who could have been made a Ghar Jamai (a remake of Koi Mill Gaya. In fact, he borrowed, looks and acting from the film) but he had to be sent to some other country for treatment and I am sure, he will never return. Durga, well, she is still helping her family get rid of Dowry (see next point). There is one girl left. And yes, she has found a Ghar Jamai, too. You can see him in the house more than Yuvvraj.

5. All these girls move out of the house in times of disaster to help their family and find success in their cause. Not so in the way she desired to though(or tells her family that she desires so). See Lakshmi, she moved out of the house to go to Durga's place(the onl reason Durga was found to be at her in laws place) but ended up marrying someone. Well, she was helping them.

See Janhvi or Jhumki, whatever you may like to call her. She moved out of the house to help her family. Tell me of a person who helps her family by staying in a temple and then, joining a non-profit organisation. Anyways, how did she help her family? She did help her family by getting rid of all the costs involved in finding a good husband for a girl who is not so good (you know why. Her family feels so). She finds a really wealthy businessman who wishes to build a mall, which is also his dream project, in a small village (the sanest man on earth). The dream project still seems to be a dream for him as he has become a Ghar Jamai. He forgot his dream now. His only dream now is the girl who went further to help her family.

See Gauri now, she is also doing a job to help his family. Though there is no need now. Anyways, I am sure she will end up helping her family by bringing in one more Ghar Jamai, the bad man, which also is a copy of some film. (I don't remember the name though) The old film featured Salman Khan in the role of the bad businessman and Karishma Kapoor played the role of Gauri or vice Versa. The onl change is the mother of the bad businessman. In the film, it was his Granpa played by Shammi Kapoor. Anyways, she will bring in the businessman as his Ghar Jamai. I bet.

6. Give them any challenge and these Girls can fulfill it. They can beat some half professionals, if not professionals, in the game of Cricket with a training period of just 7 days. (Why don't they train for 7 days in some form of Martial Arts? They can then beat the crap out of the goons. I am sure about that) Did you see the last six hit by Gauri. Well, the umpire took so long to declare it a six that the boys were already celebrating. They had removed the stumps. The girls were crying. And the umpire was waiting to create some suspense. (Who knows where the commentator was?) I hope team India goes for a 7 day training with these betiyaan.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of such points which I do not wish to mention here. Not enough time.

P.S. I can create a serial myself on the faults in serials.
